Coach bus trip to Grand Rapids Michigan area the last weekend in July coinciding with the Michigan Garden Plant Tour. Michigan State University has a coordinated open house of leading young plant producers and Michigan State University. Their plant tour educates professional growers and industry professionals about plant selections and their garden performance and allows you to tour some participating greenhouses and their trial gardens. We will visit some of the participating greenhouses, in particular we will be sure to visit Walters Gardens that is known for its hosta growing program. Another highlight will be to visit the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, a top cultural destination in the Midwest, known internationally for the quality of the art and gardens. We will also visit some private gardens and have some buying opportunities along the way. Included in the trip is Bus Transportation, hotel accommodations at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown, admission to Meijer Gardens, Lunches Friday - Sunday, Dinners Friday & Saturday, snacks and fun and friendships.
